This year we decided to make the big jump. After more than 5 years in the same flat, we moved to a slightly bigger place, not far from our home of five years. Moving seems fairly easy. Even packing is easy compared to the memories you have to leave behind. I interviewed my wife in an effort to capture those feelings on camera.
My wife and I had never spent more than 7 days apart. So when I needed to go to Austin, Texas for 2 full weeks, it seemed ages. Thankfully, we had a trip planned right after and the plan was to meet at a Greek island to spend two weeks full of sunshine, good food and relaxation.
Buses are one of the best places for people watching. Trying to imagine what goes through their heads is my favourite commuting game. I decided to a ride on a few of the most icon bus routes in London and capture the expression and sentiment of their passengers.
Changes in life are inevitable. No matter what, we all have to encounter changes in our lives. It's how we approach them that matters the most.
2018 was a big travel year for both of us. We tried to visit as many places as possible doing short weekends away. From the English countryside to the exotic Greek islands, we explored a plethora of different destinations including, Amsterdam, Spetses, Kefalonia, Florence, Porto, Vienna, Tinos, the Cotswolds, Athens and Paris.

The Greek islands are a popular destination during the summer months. But what happens to them in the winter? Are they really as deserted as we imagine? I had to take a trip to Tinos in December 2018 over the Christmas period and got to experience this first hand. The scenery, the people still living there, the great tasting food, the lifestyle and spending time with family, felt homely... making us homesick. People come and go. Friends however, stay for life. And it's friends that is harder to say goodbye to. A few weeks ago, we had to say goodbye to two really good friends of ours as they move to Madrid for at least a year. We wanted them to have something from us to remember us by. What better way than to throw one last barbecue?
A couple of weeks ago, we found ourselves inside the streets of one of the most romantic cities in Europe, Paris. We decided to see Paris through a different lens this time. That of the people living there. The result was majestic!
Every year, on my wife's name day (big Greek celebration like birthdays. look it up), we put up our Christmas tree together. I usually erect the artificial tree, put on the Christmas lights and my wife decorates using a combination of new and old ornaments. It's a tradition we keep close to our hearts and fills us with joy. So this year, we decided to document the process as a reference for the years to come.
